#BPSASM2025

APDP Conference

The Advanced Pain Discovery Platform (APDP) is a consortium-based UK network resource that is breaking through the complexity of pain and revealing new treatment approaches to address a wide spectrum of chronic and debilitating clinical conditions.

The APDP Annual Conference 2025 will be held in conjunction with the British Pain Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting on Tuesday 3rd June 2025, at the ICC Wales, in Newport. All APDP members are invited to attend.  Registration for the APDP Annual Conference is free of charge, and does not require registration for the British Pain Society ASM. Hurry, spaces for the APDP Conference are limited.

This will be a Scientific Conference, aiming to share new scientific knowledge and ideas on pain mechanisms. Presentations will position research within the context of the real world and the needs of people with lived experience of pain. It will enable us to share knowledge and bring together diverse perspectives across the broad range of disciplines and stakeholder groups in APDP.

This academic conference will showcase the spectrum of key outputs from APDP community members through:

  • short oral presentations
  • poster presentations

Attendees will be contributing to the diverse research into pain mechanisms that characterises APDP. All presenters are briefed to ensure that all attendees can benefit from their presentations, while not shying away from technical detail and current controversies. The conference will firmly place mechanistic research within the context of lived experience of pain.

Academics and people with lived experience of pain undertaking pain research within the UK are welcome to join the APDP community. To become a member of the APDP community, please sign up here (membership of the APDP community is required before registering for the conference).

To register for the conference, view available bursaries to attend, and to submit a poster abstract, please log in here.
